PET Strapping

Polyester strapping band

PET strapping band, or polyester strapping, is a common type of plastic strapping bands. It is widely used to bundle heavy products to form a stable palletized unit. PET strapping band is strong and resilient (for safety), straight (for smooth running of the automatic machines), and split resistant (for high strength). Whether the surface is smooth or embossed, PET strap can be used in automatic strapping machines that are responsible for feeding, tensioning and sealing.

PET Strapping

Changcheng manufactures PET strapping band that ranges from 5mm to 32mm in width and 0.5mm to 1.4mm in thickness. The PET strapping band that we produce is totally recyclable since it is made of PET bottle flakes and PET chips. It can be recycled and transformed into polyester fiber.

The strap breaking strength is up to 1,500 kgf to cover common industrial packaging needs.

PET Strapping Band Packaging
PET Strapping band packing ways

PET strapping band is usually wound around a paper core or a film to form a strap coil. We produce several sizes of strap coils, including standard coils (18.5 kg to 22 kg), jumbo coils (65 kg, 70 kg to 75 kg, or 120 kg to 150 kg) and super jumbo coils (330 kg to 350 kg). We also produce pre-cut PET strapping band to meet special packaging requirements. For example, handheld pneumatic welding tools are usually used along with pre-cut PET strapping band to tie bales.

Recommended numbers of strapping rolls for stacking
  • Standard coils, 28/32 coils per skid
  • Jumbo coils (65 kg to 150 kg), 3-6 coils per skid
  • Super jumbo coils (330 kg to 350 kg), 3 coils per skid

Loading capacity of 20-foot containers and 40-foot containers

The loading capacity of 20-foot containers is 12 tons of strapping and that of 40-foot containers is 26 tons of strapping according to the common limitations of destination ports and inland roads. We will confirm relevant weight limitations with clients before shipping.
